Lone rock stands in center of the ocean in Galapagos island chain But this rock is anything but plain Getting there by early explorers was a pain But their journey was not in vane The rock supports ecosystem of oceanic abyss For migrating birds it is a place of bliss This top of volcano ocean waves will kiss And two great ocean currents join as fire and water will hiss One is cold and supports all kind of life which at night Consists of plankton that makes for almost alien sight As it shimmers in twilight And higher life forms eat it under moon’s surreal light The second current is hot and flamingos, iguanas, turtles, and other creatures That this island features Many with unusual features Thrive in this environment of many colors Darwin noticed this island and for the first time Suggested life wasn’t static but changed over time To him life was glorious but based only on blood and enzyme But there is more to this rock something more prime The energy centers are written in stone Like the fabric of universe they have special tone To the sky immortal realm of Gods they can phone The last deep place of thought and soul are magnified as if by microphone Through this rock mesmerizing power in full majesty Allows one to write destiny Far beyond infinity The outer stellar beauty
