Robin Hood's In the Hood

A young fellow in our neighborhood ran around claiming, “I’m Robin Hood. When we rob from the rich, our positions we’ll switch.” Well, of course, he was up to no good. Some delinquents soon followed his lead. They were merry men. Merry indeed! After each nightly raid, in the camp they had made, they’d get high on their exploits and weed! I know this one comes from your heart, Andrea. Maybe a theater is your "special place"? Best wishes in the contest, Hon!

In the Costner film, Robin's men were merry from drinking beer. Guess they've modernized now. :) Just today I heard there's a movement in Congress to reform Federal laws concerning marijuana to reflect the changes happening in states. I'd rather take a horseback ride through Sherwood Forest. Cool, modern limerick, Andrea. Best wishes in Joseph's contest.

Hi Andrea, You penned two limericks for the contest theme. I wanted to write one on Robin Hood ( I went with the Lone Ranger)but I couldn't come up with anything. You on the other hand did a fantastic job. Looks like a winner to me. I wish you the best of luck in the contest:-) Alexis

I do like Robin Hood tales so I enjoyed this poem. I used to belong to various archery clubs and enjoyed archery for quite a while. I prefer the old fashioned bow to compound ones. Welcome to Sherwood! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Wow! I am shocked Andrea, for this limerick leads me to believe you are much more worldly than I had imagined. Good luck in the contest my friend.
