Roaming These Lands-Collab

Roaming these lands often I cry these tears, Trying to wash away the pain, along with all my fears. Preparing myself for the worst With a feeling my heart may burst. Forcing my heart into remorse With hopes it will stay on course. Always waking to a bright new day Where the pain will be kept at bay. As the winds stretch through my soul My heart sets on a new goal. I look at myself in the mirror As death rolls closer and nearer. I traveled through the angry lands While angels call out hopeful demands. Looking up into the sky Closing my eyes as I hear the doves cry. Gliding onto each stepping-stone As fate grows carelessly more prone. In these lands I still roam No matter how much desire is shown.

Ok Dan monorhyme means ALL the last words rhyme, these don't. You end rhymed lines 1 & 2 [that's called a couplet] The next lines [3 &4] do not have end rhyme, since [burst does not rhyme with course] BUT they do have INTERNAL HALF RHYME of [worst/burst] [remorse & course] hmm I would label this simple Rhyme or Verse

Hi Dan, are two pens better than one? Your collabs are always so nice almost as good as the ones you do yourself. One of ours is in my book! Luv, Lizzie

I guess many of us have had the sadness and remorse you describe, Dan. Death comes in its own time and we have n control over it. Facing a terminal illness now, this poem really struck a chord for me, Dan. You and Cali have quite a wonderful way of working together. The poem is seamless and flows beautifully. Congrats to both of you on a job well done! Love, carolyn
