wee caterpillar creeps across the old wood porch glory still hidden leggy, brown creature hangs shrouded in a cocoon as the miraculous transformation begins spring sun hides the chrysalis penetrating warmth stirs life painted in the sun artist’s pallet holds brilliant colors luminous teal black-tip wings etched with gold trim fluttering free winged wonder searches for her clan beholder sees but one of a kind

one of my fondest and earliest memories. Oh how I would torture insects in my toddler youth! Not on purpose though:( I knew I'd find a treasure on your poetry page tonite!

Nice one, Carolyn. It reminds me of my old wood porch and a butterfly that emerged from its chrysalis there beside my front steps. Beautiful "transformation" Very creative!

love this sweet piece - I had a pet caterpillar as a boy, but I thought it died when it went into its cocoon, LOL
