Road Escape
It was a hot and summer day
A man tells his wife he will be back in an hour
However he has been traveling on a Greyhound bus for 4 hours
The man told his wife he was going to the store for a smoke
Oh what a joke
The man got on a Greyhound bus that was heading west
I was also on that same bus so I can confess
The man got on the bus in a small Texas town
Yet he was riding all night being westward bound
I listened as he told his story
He said it proudly being his glory
You probably could call this story, “When you can’t stand stress, escape on behalf of us”
Just take the bus to avoid the fuss
Well I don’t really know his true story, as there are two sides to every story
He only stated she was a nag and he just couldn’t take it anymore
It was simply the Greyhound bus awaits and he must not be late
The man’s idea for a cigarette and a Greyhound ride to let me forget
But I firmly believe that somewhere he would regret
As the story ends, the man made it too the west in what his inner soul that says it best
“Escape with me having a peace of mind, and refreshing soothe with everything combined”.
