Ripples In the Water

Envy in the eyes of sky At the concentric circles of Expanding beauty To disappear from where it rose Leaving behind Poems that we read To be happy Here water is golden There it's blue A domestic lizard falls From the beak of a bird A variety of hue From black to golden Like you The sun is always focused To change the milieu Round the clock Like Van Gogh Look at the waters A little girl has flung At twenty degree angle A flat piece of stone In a beautiful cone Creating the obvious bubbles Destined to struggle for Silent exultation Of rippling out In a marvellous mode of Geometric beautification Children of playful waters In a design they develop Up and down Across and around In an almost inaudible love-sound Boundary expanding In rippling rings We miss our bite of the bread Didn't we one day Seems just the other day For we deny the passage of years Didn't we Agitated under the purple heat Without missing a single eat Got amalgamated And the mysterious chemistry Ripples of pleasure Kept spreading over Until the heart turned wild Returned home The waters wait again Impatient and keen As a lover waits in a jasmine evening When would the boat come With the tangential sun As soft as a nun And the three would merge in a dance Leading to The supreme ecstasy May be for a very little time Yet a lovely lift From the hit and the shift Of ripples after ripples and ripples again A wonderful pleasure and pain Yes Finally the boat arrives The hull hugs the water Softly gurgling wave Raises the required vibe In its small ebb and tide And both collide A consensual collision invariably Leads to a glimpse of ocean The boat strokes the flowing water I stand in anticipation As you wait Till my poetry promotes in your pearls Those scarlet curls Here too they raise the ripples As orange sunshine paints Like Picasso Silhouettes of mystery In shadows of history The boat fondles The water responds in delight Both bond beautifully From the artistic embrace Arise umpteen ripples Of unchained desire Sun adjusting the exposure Almost every second The ripples turn into Beautiful blue and black Wings of birds Rippling and fluttering Before disappearing Everything disappears Whether a slave or an emperor From the ripples of life Into the last breath Let us ripple-like embellish Every desire and wish To the extent a scope there is Whether in India or in Greece Like the boat fondling the river Let's relish and create Ripples of our nights and days Time decays

Hi Probir an exquisite write! Every line is a stroke of poetic bliss. The imagery is evocative and magical. A deep and lovely write that I enjoyed losing myself in this evening. Thank you for sharing :)

There is so much in this poem, I will have to reread it several times to get all of it. I love your unique images, Probir - "as soft as a nun" is great - and your subtle use of rhyme and near rhyme. Beautiful!

Oh my, Probir... verse after verse...like watching glistening ripples reach the lake edge. Mesmerising.
