Ringo-The Alcoholic Cat It

Seven years gone by his eighth life now spent
Stumbling flank comes Ringo, my fat drunk cat
Sabbatical dreams after quarantine
As I Wait for the dreaded number nine
The label I hide on the wine bottle
Has been soaked in poison now for a time
Promptly stuck for Ringo, it hits his paw
They told me of the psycho cat's demise
Not too long after his last curtain call
No guilt do I feel, for that mean old cat
Eerie board walk creaks near the white sand beach
Each and every time I think he’s back

Mark no wonder the poor cat was drunk... you obviously didn't realise 'milk stout' is alcoholic and it hardly contains any milk lol. this is such a creepy poem love your take on the theme:-) hugs jan xx

Makes me think of an old song from my childhood 'But the - cat came back - the very next day-' still gives me the creeps!

I'm trying to give you an out for poisoning a cat, Mark. Psycho or not, your lines are hilarious, but those creaks you hear on the boardwalk may be him returning. lol
