Ringing of the Bell

I’ve seen the bell
It’s ringing
Acrid stench of chemo hell
D * O * N * E  * ! *

The knell
of
my mom
tears
S * T * I * N * G * ing!

Baldheaded friend
best
have better
return

‘cause
my mom likewise
rang
that bell extra
hard

she rang
it in victory
then
the worst day
E * V * E * R
we
live
over and over and over
again

For me, it’s the ringing of the d@mn bell! Chemo was not her friend!

I guess what it really comes down to, is if it is our time to go, then we go. It's in god's hand. Judy Ball Date: 8/31/2021 3:17:00 AM It saves some and hastens the death of others. Cancer is definitely not our friend. The Lord spared me when I had thyroid cancer. But come October I will be 74 and I won't live in this body forever, however I WILL live forever. God will send His angel to lead me home to Him. Your mom is not dead, you just can't see her right now but one day you will see her again. God Bless my friend and thanks for the many lovely reviews.
