Ringing in the Bell Tower

Making bells ring and sing Within the beating soul Within the ringing heart Of the community Playing my hidden part Making bells ring and sing Handstroke and soon backstroke Feeling the church’s weight Feeling the weight of bells In a cycle of fate Making bells ring and sing Playing Plain Hunt Triples Casting away thunder Double Canterbury Filled with holy wonder Making bells ring and sing This heart is slowing down This ancient blood darkens Up and down, we still ring Behind dark red curtains
