Ring Tone
Crying’s not for me, so the singer intones
As raindrops, unlike hailstones, fall on his head*
The issue, perhaps, is no more than hormones,
And he is hanging on by the thinnest of thread
His catchy tune makes a memorable ringtone
For the cellphone alarm lying next to my bed.
