Right In Front of Me

You, standing right in front of me
How could I not see?
You were the one
I needed most to guide me in the darkness

The choice was obvious
Only I didn’t see
Because I was told to overlook you
Because you weren’t good enough for me

Which is true
Because you are so much more
I don’t deserve someone like you
You are more than good enough

Don’t overlook me, too
When I see the light
Don’t go blind and leave me here
At the gates of heaven, stood up
You, the angel I’ve waited for, gone
