Ride On, Charlton
Charlton Heston rode on a horse down the beach.
He and his newly-found lady friend escaped the apes.
Something he saw brought a startling epiphany.
Charlton realized he was back home, but in the future
when he discovered the decaying remains of the Statue of Liberty.
How could the process of evolution retrogress?
This was enough to make the average person do away with themselves.
However, the producers needed him to star in a sequel.
Based on the 1968 film “Planet of the Apes”
