Rhyme Time Iii-Christmas

RHYME TIME III-CHRISTMAS 'Tis the time of the closing year To help spread joy and Christmas cheer With friends and loved ones everywhere Thanking the Heavenly Father on high Sending cards to people far away or nearby Knowing that surely you can rely On receiving a return card in quick reply And smiling since now you are on their list And come next Christmas you won't be missed You'll get a card --- they will insist I think by now, you get the gist You'll have a year to sit and surmise If next Christmas you can catch them by surprise Wishing you could see the look in their eyes As they are amazed at how time flies But being the kind to spread cheer and glee You fail to gloat, for now you can see Just how forgetful some people can be The sound of Christmas carols make you carefree 'Tis the time of the closing year 15 December 2017
