Revered Traditions

~ Back Then ~

One, a Cabinet Officer
  the other, a Veep
disagreed about policy
  their feelings ran deep

They'd end their discord
  by means of a duel
Burr and Hamilton
  brave pair of fools...

          ~ Now ~

Trump's 'Lock her up'
  Dems' 'Kick Jim Jordan'
Both revere the tradition
Heap more fire on our fuels

Oh for the long gone civility and manners of a duel. I jest a bit, but an uncivil tongue can do more damage sometimes than a gun.

I like the way you've assessed this. Hadn't seen it that way, but I believe that you are correct, Kenneth. Thanks for the enlightenment, my friend. ~ Blinders removed

That's the truth! When will it end? Maybe when we quit listening!

Frightening thought, that, Ann... Hope we can at least listen to each other, but you never know... the way things are going. Happy Weekend, Gershon
