Retired Souls In Rhyme Confide

I fear as I drip my word
Teardrops would be overheard
No verse shall set its rhythm or whine
I dread my anguish is seen as I rhyme
Whatever deep into my soul unable to mute
I wholly surrender to the magic of the flute
To bring the sublime into the mundane is insane
My world of poetry, in your glossary no word for strain
Blind to the divine truth we wander astray
Tempted by sick feelings we fall an easy prey
Of all the stages, one and only age
When the Self falls into the clutches of rage
Granted is the time to ponder and reap
What is sown of seeds of wonder so deep
I’m not the wise of these keywords beauty
Just an ardent learner of Mother Nature’s bounty

*****

Hope inside shall reside
Faith can stand the whole ride
Pain to the word would subside
Brave hearts survive emotions tide
Retired souls in rhyme confide.

This to me is such depth, reasoning, wisdom and poetic insight as to be amazing! Yes and yes, enlightenment comes faster if we actively seek it-in our hearts , our soul and our writings. Poetry is the perfect medium for that quest. And you gave us a mastrpiece with this gem.. A fav, an honor to have found and read this beautiful creation. God bless...

I re-read this poem with much profit; HOPE is mentioned brilliantly in light. At 50 I felt age with graying hair, poorer vision ... but a few years back, at 60, my health was at its best. Of course fasting, prayer, forgiveness ... all help stay healthy. Salaams my dear Sister

Besma, asalaamualaykum ramathallah wa barakatoh. Thanx for congrats on my little poem that made POTD. I wished for other poems, but as this poem says ... pain has many sources/parents, LOL! This line, 3rd from bottom, is great as is, but did U intend "world" for "word"? salaam and shalom-shalom. Anil

Man is weak and easily fall, but God is merciful. I love the call of the lute. It urges you to repentance and with that you get faith and hope. A poem to read again and again for its sublime message. A fave.
