Respect - Senryu
truth… words of wisdom
out of the mouths of babies
wonder who taught them…
in the gutter… lies
scraps of paper… lovers tanka
secrets flow down drains
a cry from a man
help me… empathy stepped in
mugged… sad modern days
kindness… empathy
time… spent giving back the smiles
modern-day litter
Donal Trump some say
with poetry… he is good
yet turned off comments
some have no respect
walk past the weak the dying
no… I’m not lying
respect for a friend
he scrubbed my oil blacked back clean
missed… fifty years… gone…
looks seventy-three…
your talking all about me…
there’s nowt you can do…
