Resistance
Resistance, e'er that damned resolve
the order sanctioned, uncontrolled
the memory of some scourging hold
bears not the favor of Wars told!
Resistance, that I bloomed in vain
to ward off dystrophy's acclaim
that tarnished replica called name
is not the virtue, not the same!
Resistance, does it fall between
that grueling atmosphere's remain,
create the province for the gain
then supervise the motives aim!
Resistance, bear me not Thy sword
I tell it not ~ be mine accord
not swindling fate, my empty hand
could serve no evil's pointless plan!
Resistance ~ pray the sign be not
upon my head to gather plot
is there a struggle you might claim
and then force my entreaty vane!
What grace to pose ~ I feel that grand
no punishment for peril's score,
the stint of peace, I must command
and gloss not anger to encore!
Resistance ~ where I am within
my calmness, and my Faith's chagrin
it is the virtue of thought's soul
to Earth from Heaven's common fold!
Resistance ~ doing nothing's harm
the registrar of source's conform
must bow the head, as knees are bent
and pray ~ my enemies reform!
As not cooperatives so worn
but kinship . . . . . as the day when born!
