Paige, this piece is so striking in its simplicity. “Dark moving stitch” is such a vivid and haunting image--quiet, but it lingers like something that doesn’t quite heal. Beautifully done.

Dear Paige, your haiku offers such evocative imagery. There is a sense of introspection and melancholy. I find the use of words like "bruise, shadow and beat" to be intriguing.. like moments or past experiences in life with complex feelings entwined with light and dark aspects that are not so easily teased apart. Very emotive, sunlight seems to hurt. Hugs
