I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than ninety-nine righteous people who do not need repentance. Luke 15:7 We don't go to the doctor just for the fun of it. We may be sick, or need a check-up, or want the doctor's advice about healthy living. There are many reasons to go to God in prayer but none as important as seeking a cure for our spiritual illness and restoring our relationship with God. After all, Jesus says there will be great joy in heaven over the one who repents. When we repent, we come to ourselves in truth and recognise our very real need for God's forgiveness. Then, we are ready to be washed in God's love. Loving God, you know everything that is in our hearts. Help us to trust in your love that we may turn to you in our sinfulness and be healed. Inspired by St. Ignatius of Loyola

Victor what a beautiful write, I so enjoyed and drank in every word you wrote. The easter passion play comes to mind with the two prisoners on each side of him, and one asks for forgiveness, and Jesus ENJOYED AND DRANK IN EACH WORD YOU WROTE. It reminds me of what he replied to this man that repented 'Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise, Blessings Jennifer. This poem moved me.

We are made of body and soul. The wellness of these twin is equally important. Just as we consult a physician for physical well being, we have to consult and be in touch with God for our spiritual growth and wellbeing. God is all forgiving. If we truly repent, he will wash away all stains from our soul. Great thoughts, dear Victor.

Dear Victor your reflection beautifully intertwines the physical act of seeking healing with the deeper, spiritual journey of repentance and restoration. The comparison of visiting a doctor for wellness to approaching God in prayer highlights a profound truth: our souls, like our bodies, require care and renewal. A fave...Hugs

We resort to our Faith.. we pray to God.. we seek peace, insight, and bliss.. In hard times, when we feel lost suffering from an overwhelming pain emotionally, mentally and physically we just have God to protect us from our chaos.. we feel safe in His presence.. we feel secure with his mercy and forgiveness.. we feel loved when He answers our prayers.. How soothing and reassuring and Faith restoring is your poetry, Victor! A lot of inner beauty and enlightment displayed in your powerful words.. thank you so much for sharing your Faith and thoughts.. God bless you. My best regards.

Thank you for your comment, dear friend. I'm afraid USA and Europe have offended God with all these abortions. They will be punished, especially Paris. Blessings.

Amen. It is only HIM, who knows who we truly are and better yet, HE knows us more than we know ourselves, especially for those who are not true to themselves. Blessings, Marilene
