Repeating Cycle
A blue haze hovers in the dimmed sky
while blackbirds sing a rusted shriek
rusted leaves crunch and crackle
Sun-tanned stalks cover fields
The last red leaves drop
Dark trees and shrubs
Air chills cheeks
flames dim
brisk
