Remembering When

I remember when... My hands were too tiny but the sky was nearer, today I have grown up hands but the sky is too far. I remember when.... I was not tall enough to peek into the robin's nest, today though I am taller the robin has changed its address. I remember when.... Days were so colourful with butterflies all around, now the days are much faded and those butterflies are not found. I remember when..... I disliked many things of life and wanted to change it a lot, today I know it is too late now and those were all my absurd thoughts! ###########################

I thoroughly enjoyed this poem and I'm sure everyone can relate to the difference in how things were then and now. Such a good write and very profound.

NOt absurd, but wonderful poetry!! kash, I think yours is one of the best in the contest but a few of the lines did not rhyme for me. I hope that gets overlooked because what you were saying in some of your stanzas was pure genius!
