Saw the difference in, "She held you to HER and "I held You to my heart." Tore me apart I think I know what you meant, I did not get to touch my Mom when she died. I'm glad you did. (Go away tears)

So many Soupers seem to have had unhappy childhoods. You and I were lucky to be loved and wanted. I smiled at the image of "Snowball" in your Christmas stocking. I bet you knew even then that you loved cats. Really enjoyed this beautiful poem packed with memories and genuine sincerity. Best wishes for the new year! Love, Carolyn

Carolyn, thanks for your beautiful comment, yes I had a childhood surrounded in love although there was a lot of sadness that was to be on my path into adulthood. Snowball was the first of many kitties, I have never been without a cat , Happy New Year _Constance
