Released

tongue dance
the fancy lick
of sin
my need reaches
out from within
chokes on skin
lies between
broken skies
the capacity to
care denies the
menacing glare
of a past
cast aside
incentive compels
the tide further
washing away
disaster
i clamour
to you in a sudden
burst of motion
& stammer
overcome by emotion-
gracious for my defeat
breathless with relief
we dance
to the beat of
a heart-
released.
