Line of inquiry:
instrumentalising mind, I rested thought
employing it only when needed
shifting to heart, I became self-taught
gentling touch, voice of conscience heeded
We are alone – Together
Quietly, feelings flow gently, surrounding
hope, healing, heavenly potential – weathering
the births, the deaths, the colors of a past, the test…
serenity fades beyond the stars, glistening
like heavy dew on a mourning thought,
blessing away the darkness, the rains
with its distant prayers, its praise, falling
like endless truths, blowing light across the chance
freeing believers, souls who can see through the pain
into the endless mirrors of joy, faith, hope and grace
love that listens to the words, convicting, convincing,
trembling attempts at music, melodies softly playing
explaining away the delicate edges, shadows, silhouettes
expressions of frail changes, delicate and whispering
blessings poured out through the senses, the delights
kindness bleeds hues of prayers, praises awakening,
winning the notes of a life, sanctified by the light
who illuminates from His spirit, blessing away
all doubt, all suspicion, all hesitation and disbelief
restoring the soul so it feels like it knows, - YES, it knows
on the heart who believes, with faith that never leaves,
there is hope who breaths light over the blackest regret,
faith that blends love with grace and silences grief,
love that silences the tears, the fears, the years of loneliness,
where echoes of a moment, a realization that tried to decide,
though we are alone – still as the silence, we are together
blessed by the One who knows we are a part of the time…
when He comes back to this earth, this world,
where He will divide the bad from the good,
the dark from the light, the wrong from the right
the believing from the skeptic, the accepting from the rejecting
of this truth, this good news, this gospel
that assures us – even though we are alone
we are a part of a bigger joy, a bigger knowing
a hope that is like the rising of the Son,
who clings to our lives – satisfying, inviting,
saving us from the cruelest fate – saving us
so we can sincerely say… together with Him,
we will enter heaven’s gate – through faith
that never forgets, He is the Son that never sets…
When He arose, He ascended where He lives today,
Waiting for the moment when God will say…
Go – bring my children into the presence of this love
That never wanes, this love that is brighter that any sun,
This love that lives because God always gives…
We are alone, but only the heart who knows His love
Can know that – one day, we’ll live with Him forever, together!
