Notes About The Poem

Written 29th September,  2026

Red’s Cultural Change

Red needed to change. Instead of stop being its sign, it would rather spend time in the straw with berry. Instead of rushing to fire in a truck, to feel a heart that beat or smell a rose in bud. Red made new rules: Traffic would need new lights. A fire could use a fly to light its house. A lady could free a bird from its cage. Perhaps Red should pack his suit in a case and go where being lucky need not be explained.

Awwwn how clever and amusing this poem is, sweet Alison! You certainly have a unique way with words and I just love how your mind worked here, red indeed is a ravishing colour, the hue of love and heart! It's one of my faves! Yet, due to its longer wavelength than other colours it's used for traffic lights n also keeps the prominence in fire, lol, I'm going all too scientific here. I just loveeeee your sweet mention of strawberries here! My fave they are! Keep writinnn n shininnn, gorgeous this is 💋🌹💗🦄💃🏻

Thank you For your beautiful summation. This is the second colour poem in a series I am working on, after a comment I received on the first. It uses a color and compound words that are associated with it to give it a humorous story. Blue's Meeting was the first.
