Red Moon Rising

Red moon rising over ice-covered peak
No warming sun to charge my thermal wear
A glacial bleakness brings blush to my cheek,
Red moon rising over ice-covered peak
Focal point in desolate landscape, so to speak,
Helping me to understand the meaning of bare
Red moon rising over ice-covered peak

Got up early a few years ago to watch an eclipse and it was an enjoyable experience as I watched the moon turn a blood red.
