Red and Crimson Flame
Rose and carnation drenched in dew
I’ll pluck on a cool autumn dawn
Rising sun will flush them with hue
When I’ll bring them all from the lawn.
I’ll create a bouquet to frame
Rose and carnation drenched in dew
Set in red and crimson cold flame
Of my blooming love where they grew.
Drifting clouds will wash the sky blue
I’ll give you the bouquet, my dove
Rose and carnation drenched in dew
Will color your heart in my love.
A rhythmic chord the dawn will strike
When to my garden I'll take you
Touched by the new sun you’ll glow like
Rose and carnation drenched in dew.
