Red White and Who

WED BRIGHT AND WHO?

When a body needs to make some changes it’s easy to discern
When a body needs to cry out loud the signs are easy enough to learn
From the portals of perpetuity to the exits of exceptional lies
In a large room they gather as one, and all don the same damned disguise

This body bleeds the blood of the un-righteous who begins to pray
When the moats are crossed and the guards are dead the princely will then pay
In the Howns and the towers there are signs of an illness no one will ever end
While the body is about to breathe its last and whispers to his friend

“Tell those to follow my body was betrayed by both blood and by bone
For there is a tumor in that which Atlas carries and it’s growing all alone
The body feels the tremors of death made by the footsteps of pain
And thusly the two sides wept for this body has been slain”

No bandage be, no swabs nor alcohol just the smell of a body dying
As the mourners stand stranded in the street knowing there’s no use crying
So the bloodstained body is dead as is the flag which it once flew
Because the body that died in that oval office was the good old red, white and blue © ..2011.….Phreepoetree ~free cee!~.
