Red

Red is the color that I write about
I don’t see it I feel it
Its powers I now tout

It excites me
Invites me
To wake up and come play
There’s too much excitement
Not to come start the day

It’s vibrant
It’s living
It has a power all its own
And the beauty of a tomato
From my backyard was grown

Brilliant coloring, Laurie. So many times we see it as anger but you reminded me of the power of its beauty. The tomatos do sound good, may I come with Lawerence? (lol) Enjoyed this bright write. Broke up some of my white! Love and hugs, Robin

I am a lover of red!! So this poem called to me! Guess it's the bolder side of me that I don't often show on the outside! :) ~ Good luck in the contest, Laurie! ~ Carrie
