Recovery Under His Rainbow

each breath would not stir a fern
each heartbeat would not fly a hummingbird
each day tells me it’s the best I have
I’m not buying time, for I have invested in hope.

some mornings I may not hear the birds singing
somedays I may not see the leaves that fall
some nights I may not catch the stars that glitter
there’ll be other times, for I have been heard

each day the sun may not shine
each rainfall may not quench my thirst
each storm may be a calling
but I will linger, for I am under a rainbow.

tied by hope, faith and belief became fortified
each breath became easier and generous
each heartbeat has quality and rhythm
each cycle unified, heaven’s stairway is not lighted.

to want such enhancement giving is essential
entrusting in the Lord is giving your belief of his word
for then you will hear the birds sing in the sun
feel the rain fulfill your quest for sustenance
stars will give light to the sky and remove the darkness

the rainbow warrants your blessings from thee
the arch of colors takes more than just a wish
beyond hope you will begin to hear and feel
