Reconcilliation

With these arms outstretched
With unending tears
With a heart aching
I can’t bring back the years
For all I’ve done
For what I didn’t do
I’m sorry now
And I’m missing you
Of all the emotions
That I’ve felt yet
The most hurting one
Is called regret
I brought you storms
You brought me calm
For all the pain
I’m sorry Mom.

I felt deeply when I read this the first time. No less this time....both as a mom and a child...I can relate to the emotions. Congratulations once more for this winning poem!

Very touching poem Vince. I was very surprised when the subject turned out to be your mother. I hope this work can help you make peace with her, wherever she is.

Such a sweet and touching outreaching to a special being. You pour it from the heart Vince and I definitely respect that.

This touches deeply, both as a daughter, and as a mother. I know as a daughter, there are things I wish I had done, or said differently...and as a mother, I understand that other side of the coin....the acceptance of my child,... the forgiving, unconditional love. She hears you, Vince...and it's okay...I'm convinced that she understands.

A lovely tribute and so sadly true. Very well written and so very poignant. You sure know how to fiddle with my emotions. Love Heidie

Genuine repentance. Maybe you should let her see this if the opportunity is still open. -One love my friend
