Rebirth of a Myth Creature

The fire was burning brightly
shooting hot sparks into the air
multi coloured were its flares
vibrant yellows, vivid reds 

Blues, purples and violet hues
within all the swirling smoke
a faint vision appears to view
squinting I stare into the flames

Deep in the heart of the fire
slowly, slowly unfurling its wings
a beautiful bird appears into view
gasping with awe and wonder

I watch as from the fiery heart
a Phoenix emerges into sight
rising from the ashes of the fire
reborn with all the hopes of life

It flies up and hovers in the air
so majestic and awe inspiring 
filling me with its magical beauty
as it wings away into the distance
