Reality

Tired eyes bleaching the surface
As slits in memory from a picture frame
carve your name

Bubbling acid into deep cuts
Bring searing screams echoing
in my head

Gaping open wounds with words
So tart and magnetizing
it breaks me

Crumbling upon the steeping valley
Into a shell I crawl for shelter
from your beauty

Sunny rainfall questions my belief
As I drift deeper under the surface
revealing tiny sensations

Waking to the expanse of this world
A dream trapped view of perfection
blanketing my fears
