Real Nightmares
The worst kind of nightmares are those that are real
By real I mean people you know, experiences revealed
Or life playing out now, the mind surging with fear
There is an empty bedroom and no-one is near
Past to present with real people, sorted through
Waking up in a panic, nothing changed, nothing new
Oh, the haunting nightmares that are so very real
Paralyzing your soul during sleep, with all that you feel
The night cannot be darker, sleep stolen with your breath
You wonder with fear, if you will wake up to death
