Read the Directions

After fumbling for hours I finally give in and read the directions. I know, but it is the way us writers often do it...just sit down – and start writing on the fly. I think some poetry demands it...Free Verse demands it! Progressive Jazz demands it! Modern Art demands it! My wife demands it – “Read the directions!” My failed attempt at baking….
