I want you to know that even though your poem didn't get a placement in the contest, it's a fine poem. I like it even better now than when first I read it. (btw, mine didn't place either, and I still think it's a good one). Sometimes, it's just that the contest and the poem are not quite in sync somehow. Anything involving cicadas appeals to me, Susan, and so does this! As yet no cicadas in my garden, but once they come I have that choir going at it on a daily basis:) Regards // paul
