Rapture

Rapture

I stood on the edge of a moment afraid

Then I stepped in to live it

It has no past, no future, no questions, and no answers

Yet it holds a lifetime of emotion

Like an exquisite snowflake on a silent night

It will fall to earth never loosing it magnificent rapture

It’s ecstasy remembered only by you and me

Beautiful, if only we could fully experience the penultimate events in our life. If we did, then the residual reward would be precious memories that would last a lifetime. The vapor from your melted snow flake still intoxicates you! You know, poets are great revisionists. They can add beauty and burnishment to events past. You have artfully recreated this event, and given it luster and shine.
