Rant Against Bad Drivers

Some adults should go back to driving school, those who seem not to comprehend red signs at four-way stops. So many act a fool and take my turn. Oh, there should be stiff fines! Some licenses, I long to cut to bits. Those jerks who chase me down, then ride my tail or pass, then cut me off--all give me fits. I want to see them languishing in jail! But since there's nothing I can do to keep these idiots from taking to the wheel, I'll just drive on while hoping they will reap what they deserve. I'll mask the way I feel. My middle finger I will not hold high. I'll watch for menaces as I but sigh. Hello Janice well done. I just read an article about an obituary placed in a paper of a retired Marine colonel-upstanding man but he would describe the drivers in Northern Virginia in very colorful language. I know how I feel about moronic drivers. Thanks for sharing. Oliver

(2) I can tell I would trust you behind the wheel, and there's only two others in this life that I trust. If I'm in a car, I want the wheel, lol. My mom took my sibs and I out on back roads and taught us on a standard starting a couple of years before our license tests, and it was priceless, setting good habits from the start. I'm certainly not perfect, but anyone who gets easily wound up by OTHER drivers, is not going to do well behind the wheel. Superb write with such a wonderful message! :-)

Thank you so much, Greg. The driving experience has changed so much since the late sixties, when I started driving. Roads are better--wider and PAVED! Improvements such as these AND advancements in technology have, however, created certain MONSTERS--for example, drivers who speed while texting!! People like these are especially scary because they could leave you in a ravine hanging upside down by your seatbelt without realizing you were even on the road! Have a great Memorial Day, Greg! (1) I love your restraint, Janice, and enjoyed this very insightful write thoroughly, and agree. I pride myself on my driving and lack of accidents and tickets, (despite having driven more than most), and it completely defensive - keeping my eyes ON the road constantly, not getting distracted, and "driving like everyone else is crazy", as my mother taught me many years ago ... that requires great patience and controlling anger, and that's tough to do these days, lol. This made me laugh! I drove an 18 wheeler for 20 years. Don't get me started about BAD drivers. I'm not ashamed to say, i love it when people give me the finger. It's usually their IQ. lol I love this one. It's already a winner!
