Random Thoughts On Miracles

No matter what anyone says to the contrary I firmly believe in miracles, not the divine kind Turning plain water into fine wine, necessarily, But seeing a newborn deer first learning to run A deaf child hearing sound for the very first time A spectacular natural eclipse of the morning sun, Tests confirming a dreadful disease is in remission Watching an unfolding rosebud flare out in full bloom Imagining complex formulas proving nuclear fission. Miracles are often showing up in the smallest feat Coming when least expected--in a windfall, a bonus Or, just when we had given up all hope in defeat, Victories over those formidable obstacles, you see, Are identifiable, verifiable, bonafide miracles to me. I see them every day Hank. Every single day. "Miracles are often showing up in the smallest feat" They are all over my yard right now in the form of flowers, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, cardinals, robins, and yes even crows.

Enjoyed reading this great poet Milton. It is difficult to tell if miracles are still taking place today because we live in a world that rejects anything supernatural. But, to me, miracles occur on a daily basis all the time. With the release of brims of brightness in our overall environment, such as space, as well as within ourselves, it appears that God took charge and allowed us to recognize his unlimited power.

So many miracles happen everyday Milton, you type this poem, post it, and within a second I can read it anywhere in the world, some might say that’s technology, and it is, but only a few decades ago we would call it a miracle, excellent poem, cheers David

Thanks so much, David. What you say is so true, what was once a miracle is now commonplace.

A thought-provoking poem that identifies some of the many miracles that are parading before our bewildered eyes. However, as our understanding grows the number of miracles decrease, and before God's eyes, there are no miracles! Excellent work, my dearest friend, L MILTON!

Interesting thoughts Milton, they're happening all the time divine or otherwise. Each to his own belief but the fact we're the only planet in our galaxy to support life is indeed miraculous, and once there was nothing yet here we are, how can that be possible, it defies all logic. Tom
