Some are deceived just like the reed warbler on the left here, but they seem to embrace and nurture it, in a state of denial, cheers David

Thought provoking lies or do i mean lines excellent ink. Reminds me of my sibling lies through her teeth yet believes every word she says. Hugs Jan x

Yes indeed lies and denial Jan, a thin line separates both of them, but cannot have one without the other, cheers David

Well writ! I have been blessed to witness a cowbird’s chick (same breeding behaviour as the cuckoo, named for following the bison) being fed by its much smaller vireo parents. What is absolute is how amazing nature is. Reminds me now of trying to feed teenage boys lol

Heya Mo, it defies logic how this almost mind controlling behaviour ever comes about in the first place, I mean whole species depend on it, including our teenagers lol, cheers David

Wonder where the cuckoo is though?

I don’t think it matters where the cuckoo is Victor, once the egg is laid it’s over to the host to raise the offspring, cheers David

Heyee- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. we must stay away from fruit bared with GMO's, although they taste good, they are bad for your body the community and bad for farmers and must be considered in the equation. Is that pic edited?

I did not know that Anaya, thank’s for the hint, I think your research justifies my Monoku, we accept the photo even though it portrays a lie within the truth, as it’s a means to an end!

Reed warbler attempts to feed huge cuckoo chick she thinks is her own. Found it, just right click on pic, and go to websearch!

No edit Anaya, the cuckoo chicks are enormous, they hatch before the legit eggs and shove them out of the nest, so the parents will just feed it, talk about bird brain, but such is life, as is the real message in my Monoku, cheers David

There is that thin line between truth and lie. Does the end serve as justice to the means? What is absolute today may not be so concrete tomorrow. Always thoughts to ponder until we just accept what we will... or not. Life sometimes seems ambiguous.

I think you’re right Lin, it’s gotta be whatever works at any given time, or so the cuckoo in me says, even if I know it’s a lie, what’s the alternative? Cheers David
