Listen to poem:
Rainy Day Nostalgia
when i was a youth
so very long ago
perched on our second floor
nose to the pane
out of my window
i loved to stare
most especially on days
when it used to rain
a tonful of buckets
swear it’s not my imagination
every so often it did rain a deluge
i could watch the show for hours
how our street downsloped
and magically turned into
a threatening torrent
i always felt ever so safe perched
from my second floor niche
the rain, it makes me feel nostalgic
