Raindrops Two

Pearly gust strewn across the aisles An outpour glistening the view, its trickling dash jiggles on boughs As pitter-patters kiss my wet cheeks! And cloudburst spills more potpourri, that on one early April shower I pirouette with moistened earth's new garlands-- toes naked tapping a bubbly Congo dance A merry and primal ritual that refreshes this weary soul: An unrehearsed movement ensues, a dribble of showers tosses my hair as I gayly scream a belly laughter! O could I care less? In the thrill of petrichor, my essence flies in wonderment channeling this four year -old kid awakening within!

What a beautiful delineation of the enjoyment rain brings on us. When it rains, the mind goes into a spontaneous dance of unrehearsed movements. It is amazing that rain awakens the four year old kid in us. Lovely poem dear Nette. Congratulations on your top win.

The joy and exuberance of childhood can be felt in every word! And to keep that level of wonder and excitement in adulthood I'd miraculous! Rain has the potential to shave away the years and the lines on our faces are only laugh lines! Xo

I love this Nette ! So much joy in the simple pleasures of nature's raindrops ! I remember being a 5 year old splashing through water puddles after the rain in the countrysid and catching raindrops on my tounge ! Thank you for your visit to my poem. Hugs, Susan :)

Rain, does bring the inner child out, sometimes in an uplifting manner other times in a melancholic way. But this poem, it makes my soul warm! How descriptive and cheerful it is! I thought of how i once swam when it was raining, ah! Love this. Best wishes for the contest dear nette. Pleasure reading your poetic gem
