Rain Falls Unbroken

Dressed in mourning robes 
lonely and heartbroken
she sits in semi-darkness
by the glowing embers
rocking herself to the
rhythmic unbroken sound
of torrential rain...
a therapeutic balm
gently easing the pain 
healing her heart’s misery.

Your words not only create a sad soul trying to heal through their heartfelt loss, but you add the dark surroundings. For some rain causes depression, and here it creates an escape of venting the pain by rocking, letting out a physical emotion of coping and possibly healing and closer. Loved how you wrote this...
