Poem of the Day (POTD) Winner for April 15th, 2025

gently on the roof water marches as rice grains, manna from heaven attend our homeland, exiled clouds pour your romance onto cracking earth. Our poor scorpions, in bellies of hot, dormant wells raised their generations. Shamans still dance in rings, arousing bands of blessing. Timbre grows, grains gaining size, dusty dreams refreshing.

Dear Trina, What a gentle invocation-each line a prayer for renewal, echoing the ancient rain dances where hope and gratitude moved in rhythm with the earth. I love how you blend the image of manna, cracked earth, and ancestral rituals, that even in drought, there’s a longing for blessing and connection. Like the rain dancers of old, your words bring a quiet, healing music to thirsty hearts deserving POTD. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Congrats Trina, your moves like a monsoon with gentle drops turning to lifeblood, those parched cracks drinking in cloud-song. I see shamans spinning hope into dust, scorpions curled in ancient heat, the earth’s hunger met note by note. The earth remembers, and so do we. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Your words of encouragement are appreciated. Many thanks, Susan! Barbados is a water-scarce country. With climate change, we might become a nation of rain dancers.
