Rain brings the memory of the day The car's engine caught on fire, and the uncles started Dragging us kids out of the backseat Throwing us silently into ditches Saving our lives, without talking We all knew better than to tell our mothers Dad was the one pouring stuff on the hot engine in the rain When it happened.

Patti, I will never forget it. We got grabbed and thrown so far, we thought it was hilarious; they fully expected the car to blow up. Luckily it did not but we saw flames shoot pretty high up.
