rain

when you were born, the angels gathered close whispering threads of light, weaving you from hope though you walk this world with a heart that bends, a soul thats flawed, like all of us, no need to pretend you’re still perfection to me, a spark so bright in all your cracks, i find the softest light though not without fault, no human truly is you’re every gentle touch, every quiet bliss your flaws, like stars, just add to the glow in your imperfection, the truest beauty shows and when you’re in doubt, remember this refrain- to me, you’re perfect, in sunshine or rain.
