Rain
I hail rain
In wintery nights
When it showers
And scented puffs of damp
Cool breeze
from my orchard
Strikes against my
Cheeks
While I stand in
Corridor
Where
Phantoms of the yester_ years
Awaits
All bathed in sleet
While autumnal leaves ships
Float
And fall in yard
And compose music
On
Wind pipes
Telling ancient stories
While earthen lamps flicker in casements
Thousands of hazy shadows
Of hopes and dreams
come muffled and
Enshrouded
I hail them all
With leaden eyed
While in yard
Clouds still shed tears
Lady of night stands still
drenched in tears
Of clouds
And
Puffs knocks the wooden doors
Mysteriously
Moon will be somewhere
Behind the clouds
I think
That
He must be mesmerized
By my earthen lamps
Flickering
In such a rainy night
And thousands of
candles
Flicker and shine
In
Wonder-struck
Eyes
While soul hears
In ecstasy
The soothing melodies
Of Gushing rain
