Rachel

i woke up this morning out of a dream
but i forgot to write
because i thought it wouldn't make any difference at all
but i can't deny that i do love you
and i hate it when you keep on pushin me
it's even harder when i see you everymorning
just out of bed with your nightgown on
i try to look on the other side
lest my heart burst staring at your hips
Rachel,i've never loved a woman
to admit the absolute truth
that i do love her enough
to do the things i did
just to satisfy her soul
Rachel in my mind
you are the image of my heart
my idea of what an african woman should be
