Race
I seek calm
I seek beauty in the things that are not beautiful
I find frustration in the things I can't control
But I am running a course I cannot keep up with
No matter how many times I stop
To find my breath
To wipe the blood from my brow
My lungs are burning from the pollution of my thoughts
I cannot find my pace
My strength is diminishing
Being eaten away by doubt of self and others
I just seek calm
