You sure nailed that Quetzal, Sam. Funny thing is, I had apparently mis-filed Quetzal and couldn’t think what one was. You stuck a pin in my brain and I’ve now re-filed it under ‘Q’ alongside ‘Zebra’… oh, damn it. ;-). Congrats

I, too, was not aware of this exquisite little jungle dweller that can fly at 60 mph and has amazing, luminescent plumage. Their flowing tails add to their unique beauty! True avian treasures! Hi Lin! I was mesmerized by the colorful beauty of this tiny bird. I agree! They are amazing not only in their colored plumage but they mate for life and are some of the fastest flyers on earth achieving speeds of 60 mph!
